Chicago — It’s only two games, but the Pistons’ defense seems to be a work in progress.
Well, the offense is, too.
But the only numbers that matter to them are 2-0.
The Pistons won another game without their best effort at either end of the court, holding on for a 118-116 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night at United Center.
Blake Griffin was the catalyst, notching 33 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and Reggie Jackson helped finish things, with 18 points and six assists.
Griffin and Bulls guard Zach LaVine (33 points) traded baskets all game but on the final possession, Griffin guarded LaVine, who lost the ball on the way up for a potential winning shot and the Pistons held on for the victory.
