Pistons one of four unbeaten teams in best start since 2008

DETROIT - The Detroit Pistons have caught a lot of breaks on the way to their best start in a decade.

They have defeated three teams with a combined record of 3-10 and their lone quality opponent (Philadelphia) was missing one of its best players (Ben Simmons). Three of their games were decided on the final possession.

The Pistons are pleased with their first 4-0 start since 2008-09, but realize tougher tests await, starting with their next two games, home (Saturday) and away (Tuesday) against the Boston Celtics.

"It's good for our morale, but we know that there's bigger mountains to climb, just got to continue to work and improve in certain areas," coach Dwane Casey said following Thursday's 110-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesars Arena.
