Tom Gores has not abandoned the idea of the Pistons remaining at The Palace — not at all.
That’s the word from Platinum Equity partner Mark Barnhill, who was upset with media reports regarding the Pistons’ possible move from their Auburn Hills home to a downtown Detroit location.
Barnhill released this statement on Monday:
“Tom Gores and his partners are committed to investing broadly in Michigan, including Detroit and its surrounding communities, and to partnering with other business leaders on initiatives that will improve the economy and quality of life in the entire region.
