The Pistons hope to take advantage of it being the second night of a Grizzlies back-to-back. But Memphis has not really been bothered by consecutive games, going 4-1 on no rest with their only such loss at the hands of an excellent Spurs team.
This game shouldn’t feature an excessive amount of drama. In fact, it’s probably relatively rare that a game features no players who formerly played for the other team. And both of these squads play similar styles–terrible shooting but heavy on grit and grind, with an emphasis on defense. The difference is that the Pistons are actually good at defense, ranking 6th in the league to the Grizzlies’ 25th.
