There has been endless talk about the Detroit Pistons’ “young core” and which players they should ultimately build around.
Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson are the no-brainers, but you can also add a surging Jalen Duren to that duo, as he added another 22 points and 22 rebounds last night as the Pistons won their 4th straight and moved into the 2nd seed in a wide-open Eastern Conference.
Fans will generally include Jaden Ivey as part of the core (more on that in a second) and Ron Holland is working his way there, but there is a name that clearly needs to be part of the discussion and that’s Isaiah Stewart.
