The ice was installed at Little Caesars Arena last week in preparation for the Detroit Red Wings season.
On Tuesday, the basketball court was laid down, as the Detroit Pistons continue preparations for their move downtown.
The team put out a series of tweets with photos of the installation. Center Andre Drummond took a tour of his new home on Monday.
The Pistons open the preseason Oct. 4 at LCA against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets also will provide the opposition for the Pistons' first regular season game in their new building, on Oct. 18.
