Pistons build 30-point lead, hang on to beat Hawks and go into break with a win

FAST BREAKDOWN

Three quick observations from Wednesday night’s 104-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks at Little Caesars Arena

1-OUT WITH A WIN – Two 17-2 runs – one to end the first quarter, one to open the second half – sent the Pistons into the All-Star break feeling a little better about themselves. The first half wasn’t exactly an advertisement for the NBA as the Pistons, who snapped a three-game losing streak and now take a 28-29 record into the break, shot 38 percent but still led 45-33 with the Hawks shooting 2 of 19 from the arc.
