The Detroit Pistons didn't get lucky during Tuesday's NBA Draft Lottery. As a result, their first-round pick this year belongs to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Phoenix Suns won the lottery and own the No. 1 pick in the June 21 draft after finishing with the worst record in the NBA (21-61).
The Pistons needed to draw into the top three to retain their pick - they had only a 2.5 percent chance. The lottery balls didn't fall their way. Their pick is 12th and goes to the Clippers as part of the Jan. 29 Blake Griffin trade.
