NBA Draft: Detroit Pistons acquire guards Khyri Thomas, Bruce Brown

The Detroit Pistons beefed up their backcourt depth Thursday by adding a pair of guards during the NBA draft.

The Pistons first acquired Khyri Thomas from Philadelphia for a pair of future second-round picks, after the 76ers had selected the 6-3 guard from Creighton with the 38th overall pick, in the second round. The move was reported by Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

The Pistons then used their lone selection, at No. 42, on 6-5 Bruce Brown Jr. of Miami.

Thomas is a terrific 3-point shooter and defender who some had projected to be taken in the first round.
