LeBron James tops list for MVP odds but Vegas thinks Piston has chance

LeBron James turns 34 in December and is five years removed from his most recent NBA MVP Award. But oddsmakers are banking that a change of scenery lifts James to even higher level.

James, who joined the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason, is the favorite to win the 2018-19 MVP Award, according to Bovada.lv.

James, at 10/3, is followed by Anthony Davis of New Orleans at 4/1 and rising young star Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee at 9/2.

James Haden of Houston, last season's MVP, is fourth at 11/2. Other previous MVPs to make the list include Golden State's Kevin Durant (2014 with Oklahoma City) at 9/1 and Stephen Curry (2015 and 2016) at 15/1 as well as the Thunder's Russell Westbrook (2017) at 14/1.
