As first reported by Detroit’s Local 4 NBC affiliate, Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Auburn Hills, Michigan, early on the morning of March 30th. He was pulled over going 45 m.p.h. in a 25 zone, and upon approaching Caldwell-Pope’s vehicle the officer smelled alcohol.
Caldwell-Pope was put through field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested. He was issued a ticket for DUI after a Breathalyzer test at the Auburn Hills police station registered a blood-alcohol content level of 0.08, which is the state of Michigan’s legal limit.
