KCP scores 38, Pistons end skid in rout over Pelicans

Auburn Hills — Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was just feeling his shot falling. He had it going in the first quarter and led a third-quarter comeback with some more shot-making.

Against the New Orleans Pelicans, that was enough.

Caldwell-Pope had a career-high 38 points, including a career-best eight 3-pointers, pushing the Pistons to a 118-98 win over the Pelicans on Wednesday night at The Palace. The victory ended the three-game skid for the Pistons (22-27), who started a string of five of their next six games at home.

Tobias Harris added 19 points, Ish Smith 15 points and seven assists and Andre Drummond 17 points and six rebounds.
