Jason Kidd latest to interview for Detroit Pistons coaching job

Jason Kidd is the latest candidate to interview for the Detroit Pistons head coaching vacancy, according to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo! Sports.

Kidd, 45, was fired by the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 22, when the team was 23-22. He coached three-plus seasons with the Bucks and one year with the Brooklyn Nets, posting a career record of 183-190 (.491). His teams reached the playoffs three times.

A Hall of Famer and 10-time All-Star point guard who played 19 seasons in the NBA, Kidd ranks second on the career assists list.

Others who have interviewed for the Pistons coaching job include Michigan coach John Beilen, former Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey, Miami Heat assistant coach Juwan Howard and TNT analyst Kenny Smith.
