Jalen Rose thinks Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is poised for a breakout season

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been the biggest buzz of the late stages of the Detroit Pistons’ offseason, once the team signed Andre Drummond to his five-year $130 million max contract. KCP is up for an extension to his rookie-scale contract, one which will certainly push the Pistons’ into the punitive luxury tax.

If the Pistons don’t extend him before the October 31st deadline, they will have to deal with the possibility of other teams offering him a max deal once he hits restricted free agency after next season. These are contract offer sheets which they will have to match or lose him.
