Jalen Duren is a very talented player, but his inconsistency is hurting the Detroit Pistons, just as it has for large chunks of his career. In the first four games of the new 2025-26 campaign, Duren has flip-flopped good game, bad game, good game, bad game. The Pistons need him to be better on a night-to-night basis, particularly on the offensive end.
At just 21 years old, Duren is in the very early stages of his NBA career, even though this is already his third season in the league. He’s the full-time starting center in Detroit, with Isaiah Stewart providing them with backup minutes.
