Important off-season ahead for Pistons' Luke Kennard, Henry Ellenson

DETROIT - Luke Kennard and Henry Ellenson, the Detroit Pistons' past two top picks, have offensive promise but raise concerns defensively.

Coach Stan Van Gundy's confidence in Kennard grew during his rookie season and the 6-6 shooting guard played significant minutes down the stretch. Not so much for the 6-11 Ellenson, who was virtually glued to the bench until the final two weeks of his second season, after the team was out of playoff contention.

Van Gundy's message to both heading into the off-season was to get stronger.
