Hot-shooting Pistons close out preseason by beating Cavs

EAST LANSING - Ish Smith made a good move to shake a defender before draining a 3-pointer to close out the third quarter, prompting the entire bench to rush onto the floor to congratulate him.

It was one of many things the Detroit Pistons liked about their preseason finale, a 129-110 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Breslin Center.

Their big men were in peak form. Blake Griffin scored 29 points on 11-of-17 and contributed five assists. Andre Drummond scored 21 points on 9-of-15 and grabbed 15 rebounds.

A healthy Reggie Jackson logged 24 minutes and scored 14 points, including 4-of-9 3-pointers.
