Former Detroit Pistons draft pick Sekou Doumbouya has turned into a star in the Japanese B.League.
Former Detroit Pistons forward Sekou Doumbouya has blossomed into a star player in the Japanese B.League. The Pistons selected Doumbouya with the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he didn’t pan out in Detroit. They picked him over Nickeil Alexander-Walker (No. 17), Ty Jerome (No. 24), and Nic Claxton (No. 31).
Doumbouya spent two seasons with the Pistons before they traded him ahead of the 2021-22 season.
