The Detroit Pistons have lost 6 of its past nine games and I am starting to feel a disturbance in the force. A team that was solidly above .500 and in sixth place in the Eastern Conference is back to .500 and one game from falling out of the playoffs entirely.

The website 538 has the Pistons’ playoff odds still solidly at 95 percent. That is better than the Magic (81%), Nets (78%) and Heat (30%). But if you ask the typical Detroit Pistons fan, I feel like the numbers would be flipped 95 percent sure they are out of the playoffs with 5 percent still true believers.
