Established as NBA starter, Jackson prepares to become even more efficient as Pistons point guard

(Editor’s note: Pistons.com today concludes a five-part series looking at the depth chart for the Pistons, position by position. Today: point guard.)

POSITION: Point guard

DEPTH CHART: Reggie Jackson, Ish Smith, Lorenzo Brown

IN A PINCH: Michael Gbinije, Darrun Hilliard, Stanley Johnson

FLEXIBILITY: Jackson has the length to defend many shooting guards and, in fact, does so to allow Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to use his superior defensive ability to shackle the NBA’s top scoring point guards. Brown also has the size at 6-foot-5 to defend multiple positions on the perimeter.

Stan Van Gundy made a series of transactions before trading for Reggie Jackson at the February 2015 trade deadline.
