The Detroit Pistons and their fans finally got to see ESPN’s projected win totals for the team and the rest of the NBA. ESPN uses real plus-minus (RPM) to project these win totals.

As ESPN’s Kevin Pelton goes on to say in this piece (be warned, it’s behind the ESPN Insider paywall), “RPM takes into account teammates, opponents and additional factors. When used along with playing time projections, it’s proved to be a very accurate predictive tool overall.”
As for the Pistons, Pelton and RPM expect a step forward from their 2015-16 results, but not a big one.
