Detroit Pistons All-Star Blake Griffin underwent arthroscopic surgery on his injured left knee Wednesday, the team announced.
The team tweeted the news in a statement Wednesday evening:
“Blake Griffin underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee today. The procedure addressed the issue causing soreness in the knee during the club’s final two weeks of the season & playoffs. He is not expected to miss any planned offseason training or preparation.”
The sore knee hindered Griffin’s ability to play through the last month of the regular season and into the playoffs.
Griffin reportedly injured his left knee in the Pistons’ 115-98 win over the Orlando Magic on March 28.
