Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin named to 2018-19 All-NBA Third Team

The NBA announced Thursday Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin has made the 2018-19 All-NBA Third Team.

Griffin joins LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Kemba Walker, and Rudy Gobert on the third team.

The Oklahoma-native re-invented his game last season — becoming a legitimate threat from three-point range and getting the Pistons into the playoffs.

Griffin averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game during the regular season.

The lone Pistons All-Star earned 13 Second Team votes and 76 Third Team votes.

This marks Griffin’s fifth All-NBA selection — and his first since the 2014-15 season.
