The draft is an exciting time for many NBA franchises. It is a time where regardless of how your franchise did during the regular season you have hope that your team will be able to draft the game-changing player your franchise needs to get to the next level. Some teams, such as the San Antonio Spurs are known for being excellent in the draft, routinely drafting diamonds in the rough that end up being stars or at minimum solid role players.
The Pistons unfortunately have not been as lucky with their selections in recent years. Either the Pistons completely whiffed on their pick or they improperly evaluated a diamond in the rough, moving him and eventually regretting the decision when the player blossoms for another franchise.
