The Pistons will have to cut or trade someone, as they already have 16 guaranteed contracts plus their two 2-way deals, so they are over the limit of players.
They could just cut a guy like Jahlil Okafor or Rodney McGruder, but they would have to eat another stack of money, and I highly doubt Troy Weaver signed McGruder just to cut him a week later.
