Auburn Hills – Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy is optimistic he can keep his young team intact.
With forwards Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris signed through the 2018-19 season, point guard Reggie Jackson through 2019-20 and All-Star center Andre Drummond through 2020-21 following his five-year, $127 million deal over the summer, the Pistons turn their attention to starting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and reserve forward Reggie Bullock.
Caldwell-Pope and Bullock are both eligible to sign rookie-scale extensions up until the Oct. 31 deadline and Van Gundy said general manager Jeff Bower is in frequent discussions with Bullock and Caldwell-Pope’s agents
“We definitely have a desire to get something done with both of them,” Van Gundy said.
