Can the Detroit Pistons get home-court advantage in the playoffs?

At media day last week, Detroit Pistons’ forward Blake Griffin spoke with reporters and issued a bold statement.

“Our team expectations should be high. In the East, with our roster, I don’t see why getting home court in the playoffs is not a reasonable expectation.”

To some, this may seem like a lofty goal, as Detroit hasn’t had home court in the playoffs since 2008.

While the Pistons would certainly need a great record to break into the top four, it’s how the rest of the East plays out that’ll determine where they actually finish.
