FAST BREAKDOWN
Three quick observations from Friday night’s 109-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesars Arena
SLOW TRIGGERS – The Pistons took a franchise-record 2,854 3-point shots a season ago, 34.8 a game. Nearly 40 percent of their shot attempts came from the 3-point arc. It’s fair to guess those numbers won’t go down in Dwane Casey’s second season, given his preferences and the NBA trend line. But Friday was an unattractive throwback game as the Pistons finished with only 22 3-point attempts after getting up just nine – and making only one – in the first half, including a buzzer halftime heave.
