Detroit Pistons star forward Blake Griffin will not suite up tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers as the team has opted to rest him on the second night of a back-to-back.
While the Pistons have not opted for the “load management” treatment of their star player, that has seen several teams regularly rest players throughout the year, head coach Dwane Casey has talked about his concern with the minutes, wear and tear pilling up on Griffin.
This will only be the third game Griffin has missed this season for Detroit — with the Pistons losing the two previous games against Philadelphia and Sacramento.
