Assistant GM Pat Garrity out as Troy Weaver begins to remake Pistons front office

Pat Garrity will leave the Detroit Pistons organization as new general manager Troy Weaver begins to reshape the front office, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Garrity, who got his MBA following his playing career, was one of the only people kept on when former coach/GM Stan Van Gundy was fired. Garrity was a well-regarded executive with an understanding of finances and the salary cap. To be clear, Garrity was not fired. However, his contract is expiring and with a new GM in place, it’s no surprise to see Garrity move on from Detroit.
