Second year of deal is a team option.
Veteran big man Joel Anthony is returning to the Detroit Pistons on a two-year, $5 million deal, according to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press. The second year of the deal is a team option, per Ellis.
Prior to the start of free agency, Stan Van Gundy said he wanted to add a starting-caliber small forward and two reserve big men to the team. After striking out in free agency, the Pistons secured their small forward via a trade with the Phoenix Suns that brought back Marcus Morris.
