Like brushing his teeth and eating breakfast, Chris Jones opens his phone every morning and flips through his favorites to find an old video he took two years ago.
A junior at Nebraska at the time, Jones told his grandparents he wouldn’t be home for the holidays because of the Cornhuskers’ Music City Bowl game against Tennessee, then paid them a surprise visit.
He sneaked into their house late one night, the house he grew up in, and when his grandparents awoke the next morning, Jones surprised his grandmother with flowers and his grandfather with a T-shirt and Nebraska football jersey.
