Why Detroit Lions' assistant coach Fraley got a game ball after beating Eagles

PHILADELPHIA — Hank Fraley played six seasons with the Eagles in the early 2000s, but Sunday's game in Philadelphia was special to the Detroit Lions' assistant offensive line coach for another reason.

Fraley's father, Hank Sr., died in April 2018 after a long battle with cancer, and this weekend marked Fraley's first trip back to Philadelphia since the funeral.

Lions coach Matt Patricia gave Fraley a game ball to commemorate Sunday's 27-24 victory, and in a video of the emotional locker room celebration posted by the team, he said that Fraley went and visited his father's grave before the game.
