What can Lions expect from T.J. Hockenson in Year 1?

T.J. Hockenson understood the position he was in because of the position he plays and the position he was drafted in. Tight ends just don’t go very often in the first round. Even more rare is the tight end in the top 10.

But he also didn’t seem too bothered by it. He’s convinced playing in a pro-style offense at Iowa under Kirk Ferentz will help him. He has been in huddles. He spent his time with the Hawkeyes learning as much of the playbook as he could. It helped. Yet still, it’s different.
