The Lions cleaned out much of their defensive staff this offseason following a season in which the defense was far more often a liability than an asset. The Lions brought in former Eagles defensive backs coach Cory Undlin to be their new defensive coordinator this upcoming season, leaving many to believe that the secondary could take a big step forward. The secondary however was arguably the strongest tier of the Lions defense.
