Lions parted ways with assistant coaches John Bonamego, Al Golden, Rodney Hill, Harold Nash, Brian Stewart and Chris White.

There are some notable names in there. Special teams coordinator John Bonamego was a surprise firing after turning around the special teams struggles early in the season, although the Lions’ coverage units struggled the last few weeks. Likewise, Al Golden was a carryover from the Caldwell regime who was expected to be gone sooner or later.
