Allen Park — Johnson Bademosi has been blessed to travel the world, but nothing could compare to the trip the Detroit Lions cornerback made this offseason — an excursion to Nigeria, where both of his parents were born.
Bademosi’s father, Henry, returned to Nigeria 17 years ago and it was the first time the two had seen each other since.
“I talk to him pretty regularly, but to see him in April, give him a hug and see him person, that was great,” Bademosi said.
As a high school rugby player, Bademosi crossed the Atlantic Ocean, visiting four countries in Western Europe.
