Tomlinson teams up with 'Food for the Poor' to raise funds for hurricane victims

Detroit, MI- Lions guard, Laken Tomlinson has teamed up with Miami based charity, Food for the Poor, to help raise funds for his home country of Jamaica after the devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew.

Tomlinson immigrated to the United States from Savanna-la-Mar, Jamaica at the age of 11, but much of his family still calls the country home. The hurricane, which traveled through Jamaica in early October, caused property damage and flooding throughout the country. “I lived through one awful hurricane during my time in Jamaica. Cars rolled down the street, the streets were flooded, homes were damaged.
