There wasn’t much good happening for the Lions’ secondary in their season opener. First, rookie Jeff Okudah was ruled out with an injury. Then starting cornerbacks Justin Coleman and Desmond Trufant injured their hamstrings. Coleman’s was severe enough to land him on injured reserve.
One of the few bright spots was Darryl Roberts. The former New York Jet was thrust into the starting lineup after the injury bug took down two starters.
The bad news (there’s always bad news, isn’t there?) is Roberts landed on the injury list on Wednesday.
