The year of the quarterback could play well into the Lions' favor

The Lions have their fair share of needs entering the latter stages of free agency and the draft. What they don't need is a quarterback. And that's going to make this offseason different and perhaps more prosperous for them than many other teams.

For some time, this 2018 offseason has been gearing up as the year of the quarterback. It was the spring that talented players at the position would move in free agency and trades as teams move on to developing players or ones they'll take high in the draft. The draft itself would be a whole new ordeal, where one of the strongest and deepest quarterback classes in years will shape the very top.
