ALLEN PARK -- The Lions came out with a bang Wednesday morning, six days before the NFL trade deadline, when they pulled off the deal so many had been waiting for in bringing in an established run-stuffing defensive tackle.
Damon Harrison is a 30-year-old Pro Bowler who has a chance to lead all defensive linemen in run stops for the fourth consecutive season, per Pro Football Focus. He fills the biggest need on the roster of a team that's 3-3 and starting to feel good about everything else.
To do it all for a fifth-round pick, no less an extra one picked up in another trade, is being billed as highway robbery.
