Brian Branch has certainly been in the news lately after the postgame incident last Sunday night where he hit Kansas City Chiefs wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster in the side of the helmet following the Lions’ 30-17 loss to the Chiefs.
It sparked a fight and a whole lot of discourse about Branch’s character and reputation. Detroit’s third-year safety has already been fined three other times this year for unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness violations, and has picked up 10 fines since the 2024 season.
Branch was promptly suspended one game for the outburst, and has since been denied an appeal of the suspension.
