Apparently Vontae Davis didn't want to stick around to see if things changed course.
The veteran cornerback up and quit on his team Sunday, opting to retire from the NFL at halftime. Yes, at halftime. Davis' Bills were down 28-6 to the Los Angeles Chargers when he decided to call it a career.
"Pulled himself out of the game," Sean McDermott told reporters.
Davis was inactive in Buffalo's Week 1 loss to Baltimore. Then Sunday, he was benched after the Chargers' opening touchdown drive.
