Seidel: When Lions are this bad, blame Jim Caldwell

GREEN BAY, Wis. – When Bob Quinn took over as the Lions’ general manager, he kept Jim Caldwell as the head coach.

Which made perfect sense.

It gave Quinn a chance to evaluate Caldwell before making any rash decisions.

Now look at where they are, after losing, 34-27, on Sunday afternoon against Green Bay.

The Lions are off to a horrible start. They are 1-2 and — even worse than that record — they are showing few signs of improvement.

Right now, this team’s battle cry is: “Hey, at least we aren’t the worst team in the league!
