Reports: Former Lions DE Ezekiel Ansah signing 1-year deal with the Seahawks

Wednesday night, the Seattle Seahawks came to an agreement with former Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah for a one-year deal, as reported by both NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The terms of the deal have yet to be announced, but it’s of little surprise that the contract is just for one year considering the significant risk Ansah poses. The former Lions pass rusher has proven to be extremely valuable when available, however, injuries have marred the past three years of his career, both causing him to be ineffective on the field or sidelined for big chunks of games.
