The Silverdome once saw Hulk Hogan bodyslam the 520-pound Andre the Giant during Wrestlemania. It had Barry Sanders slice and dice on its turf for the Detroit Lions, and hosted some of the biggest names in music.
And this spring, it'll be no more. After years of disrepair, the Silverdome is coming down. What's left of it anyway.
The former home of the Lions -- which has turned into a roofless, dilapidated structure that has been the site of a BMX bike video and a massive auction ditching everything from seats to showers and urinals -- will be demolished this spring according to a report in the Detroit Free Press.
