Report: Los Angeles Chargers moving on from Philip Rivers

It looks like there will be another quarterback-needy team in the top six of the NFL Draft come April.

According to a report from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the Los Angeles Chargers will be moving on from long-time quarterback Philip Rivers, who will become a free agent in March.

This makes the Chargers a huge player for a quarterback at the top of April’s draft, as they currently hold the sixth overall pick. That could be great news for the Detroit Lions, a team unlikely to target a quarterback in the first round.
