The changes to the Detroit Lions’ offensive coaching staff keep coming. Just minutes after news broke that running backs coach David Walker is retiring from coaching in the NFL, ESPN’s Field Yates dropped a report that suggests another member of the coaching staff will be leaving Detroit.
According to Yates, Lions quarterback coach George Godsey will be hired by the Miami Dolphins as the next tight ends coach under the presumed next head coach Brian Flores. Prior to becoming the Lions quarterback coach, Godsey had experience coaching the Patriots’ tight ends from 2012-13.
