Report: Detroit Lions waiving Teez Tabor

The Detroit Lions are cutting former second-round pick Teez Tabor, according to Tom Pelissero.

The Tabor experiment is finally over in Detroit. The 2017 second-round pick has failed to make the 53-man roster, and the team has moved on from him only two years into his NFL career.

Tabor entered camp this season expected to compete for a starting job at cornerback, but an injury sidelined him for much of training camp and others leapfrogged him on the depth chart. The move is great news for the large group of young depth receivers behind Tabor, as it opens up a spot for at least one of them on the 53-man roster.
