Report: Detroit Lions waive 6th-round pick WR Travis Fulgham

The Detroit Lions waived rookie receiver Travis Fulgham on Thursday, per ESPN’s Field Yates.

The receiver was drafted by the Lions in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He is only the second player out of Old Dominion to ever be drafted to the NFL, with Oshane Ximines of the New York Giants being the first.

Fulgham was a healthy scratch for Detroit’s first three games of the season after he made the roster as a fourth wide receiver. He is not the second receiver from the Lions initial 53-man roster to have been waived in the opening month of the season—with Chris Lacy being the other.
